I Tuesday will witness the last of the departures for Chicago. On Sunday such pretentious stables as Hal Price Headley, R. C. Thatcher and Bryant Ott got away for the Homewood course, while those due to leave today are the Braedalbane and the Oakland Farm Stables. Sunday night, Danny Stewart, with twenty of Herbert M. Woolfs, and Roscoe Goose, with twelve for various owners, composed a two-car consignment. Walter Taylor, who saddled Mike Hall for his Agua Caliente victory, was satisfied with the race of Mike H. 11 in the Grainger. "The track dried out, but not enough to suit Mike," was Taylors comment. The Headley trainer intends sending about eight of the twenty he has in training to Latonia for the thirty-day session. In the twenty-one-horse shipment Danny Stewart is sending to Chicago will be Lady Broadcast and Best Man. The Hourless mare came out of her Grainger engagement in good condition and Stewart was well satisfied with her race. Bryant Ott is shipping fourteen to Washington Park for Tom Taggart, the owner of the French Lick Springs Stable. He has a shifty two-year-old in Dis Dat, which, with Hoosier Prince, Old Depot and Hardtoget, probably will be returned to Latonia for their engagements in the Cincinnati Trophy. Eddie Kaiser has completed arrangements for the shipping of Agincourt, Clean Clipper, Fairy Ring, Winding On, Miss Way and Surly, all the property of B. O. Hickman, and Irene T., the property of W. J. and H. W. Young, to Washington Park Tuesday night. J. M. Hubbard purchased the three-year-old Burnam from R. C. Thatcher before the latter departed for Chicago. The six horses T. L. "Dory" Pierce had here for various owners, were vanned to Latonia this morning. Upon his arrival, Pierce will take over the six others he had vanned from Lexington. Tom Sanford has arranged to transfer the Brown Hotel Stable horses to Latonia next Monday morning, where they will be given rest prior to the opening of that meeting. Mike Rose, who rode five winners Saturday and duplicated the feat of Eugene James, who was successful with a like number here last fall, will ride at Washington Park, returning to Latonia in time for that meeting. Frank Letellier, who stabled at Churchill Downs during the present meeting, vanned his horses to Douglas Park Sunday morning and will rest them up for four weeks before shipping them to Latonia. Letellier took over for Chalk and Thomas the speedy three-year-old Birthday Gift. Milton Reiser entrained from Thistle Downs with the fifteen horses he is training for W. F. Knebelkamp. Jockey C. Callahan, whose services Reiser acquired for the summer from the Audley Farm Stable, accompanied the shipment. -
