Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. GALAPAN bore over to the inside and, racing gamely under pressure, outlasted LANDWARD in the last drive. The latter responded to urging, challenged gamely in the stretch and finished well. THE NILE began from an outside position, came to the inside and had no mishaps. MY PURCHASE finished resolutely on the inside. TROMBONE was in close quarters for three eighths. ROYAL STONE bore to the outside and ran a good race when straightened out. FLAMING MAMIE was blocked when she tried to get up in the early racing. LORD VALE raced well. VAGARIES went well in spots. LA COMPERE began slowly. ROCK-TOR closed srround. CONTRIBUTE was eased up when he quit. Scratched— 59133 Facchina, 106. VERNON was rated back of the pace under restraint and. moving into command in the final half mile, had speed to spare. BANNER DAY jumped well, but tired on the final turn of the field. DANCING PRINCESS jumped badly and was outrun throughout. OMAR ROMAR fell at the twelfth fence when in a contending position. KNOCKALONG TOM stumbled and made a bad landing at the fifth obstacle and went to his knees, losing his rider. NAT CLYMAN lost his rider at the third fence. The latter went to the outside of the leaders in the stretch and finished fastest of all. BOOJUM forced the early pace from the start, but tired in the last twenty yards. BLACK MAJESTY saved ground on the stretch turn and finished well. DOWAGIAC was outrun all the way and was worked out an extra eighth. OSMAND was outrun and tired at the end. REBUFF was placed on the outside at the start. ERRANT finished well. LINTON NELL showed an even race. ROSE DIAMOND raced creen and was placed on the outside at the start.
