Y., May 28.— The sale of I the two-year-old colt Caerleon, son of Sir r Gallahad III. — Fairy Wand, by the executors I of the estate of Gifford A. Cochran, to H. C. . Phipps, has been cancelled, E. J. Tranter, of the Fasig-Tipton Company announced today. After examination by veteriner-ians retained by the Fasig-Tipton Company, , the transaction was declared void. Today Mr. Tranter issued the following statement: : "It has been officially decided that the sale of Caerleon be declared off, and the colt t is to be returned to the estate of Gifford A. . Cochran. The veterinaries, who examined I the colt on behalf of the Fasig-Tipton Company - found that he has a slight impairment, , which for the present affects his wind. It is their opinion that the ailment is but t temporary and that with proper treatment : the colt will recover from it within a short ; time.
