The nomination of Bayard, son of Achtoi and Lakhsmi, which did his racing in Ireland • last season and was only recently im-, ■ ported to the United States by E. R. Bradley, , heightens the international character of the : third Classic, which will be run at Arlington Park in July. Bayard won four of seven i races as a two-year-old on the "auld sod," finished second once and third twice. An-. other outlander in the Classic is Admiral I Graysons By Pass II. The Irish rated Bayard about the best two-year-old of last season. His victories were scored in revivals of the Leopardstown Plate, Stewards Handicap, Paddock Plate and Foxrock Plate. Bacchante licked him i in the Juvenile Stakes revival at Curragh; Galapas and Knight of the Mist in the Phoe-[ nix Plate at Phoenix Park; Sea Serpent and I Soluble in the Railway Plate at Curragh. Bradleys homebreds in the Classic, also the the several handicaps for three-year-olds and [ over that will be revived in the course of the , July meeting at Arlington Park, grossing r collectively more than 00,000, are Bar Hunter, Barometer, Blind Bowboy, Bathorse and Black Tyrone. Blue Larkspur, Kai Feng and Breezing Thru are in the handicap, Stars and Stripes, Arlington and Arlington Inaugural. Blue Larkspur is in the second cup, a 0,000 weight-for-age race of one mile and a quarter for three-year-olds ! and over. He won the Cup inaugural last season.
