The nomination of Bayard, son of Achtoi and Lakhsmi, which did his racing in Ireland • last season and was only recently im-, ■ ported to the United States by E. R. Bradley, , heightens the international character of the : third Classic, which will be run at Arlington Park in July. Bayard won four of seven i races as a two-year-old on the "auld sod," finished second once and third twice. An-. other outlander in the Classic is Admiral I Graysons By Pass II. The Irish rated Bayard about the best two-year-old of last season. His victories were scored in revivals of the Leopardstown Plate, Stewards Handicap, Paddock Plate and Foxrock Plate. Bacchante licked him i in the Juvenile Stakes revival at Curragh; Galapas and Knight of the Mist in the Phoe-[ nix Plate at Phoenix Park; Sea Serpent and I Soluble in the Railway Plate at Curragh.
