NO PLANS FOR FAIRMOUNT CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 29.— General manager Robert S. Eddy, Jr., of Fairmount Park, returned to Bainbridge Park today from Springfield, 111., where he attended the session of the legislature, which defeated the bill to reduce the Fairmount Park daily tax from ,500 to ,500. "I must admit that I was very much disappointed with the action of the senate in defeating the bill. We had been assured of the co-operation of a majority of the legislature and had the bill received favorable action we had planned to race at Fairmount Park during July.
