f BELMONT PARK TURF NOTES $ ® NEW YORK, N. Y., May 29. Laverne Fator accepted his first mount of the meeting on Boiling Water. He was given an ovation when parading to the post. H. Jacobs, who trained for the B. B. Stable and other owners, recently returned from Cleveland. While there he sold Lady Calistoga, Iona Ruth, Baffling Star, Norma Jean and Authora to W. Seremba at private terms. He left the two-year-old filly Rita Lee at that point in charge of A. J. Bedwell, T. H. Somervilles Royal Al was kicked en route to the post by the Rancocas Stables Contribute. The gash was a deep one just under the eye. The B. B. Stable claimed Buddy Basil from J. L. ONeil out of the third race for ,500. J. W. "Bub" May will ship six horses, of his own to Chicago to race. Jockey J. Mann suffered a fractured bone in his toe. The injury, while painful, is noi as serious as at first thought. A division of the P. T. Chinn stable, in charge of W. W. Finn, will be shipped to Ottawa for racing. H. T. Archibald will ship his stable from here to Lincoln Fields. J. Simon Healy has received from Mrs, Eleanor Cassatlaird a colt named Fly Along, He is by Whisk Along, from Fairy WingSj and a grandson of Flying Fairy. Trainer M. Duvall was fined 5 by the stewards for failing to report Long Gone in the sixth race. The horse was ordered scratched by the stewards. « ,
