DANVILLE RACING TODAY DANVILLE, 111., May 29.— The newly organized Midwest Jockey Club will inaugurate the first of its meetings Saturday when racing gets under way at Fair Park in this city. A good program is carded for opening day with the Inaugural Handicap featuring the days events. General manager R. Levine has surrounded himself with a capable body of officials composed of experienced horsemen. The list of the personnel follows: Thomas H. Ryan, presiding steward; Clint Dewitt, associate steward; E. C. Knebelkamp, placing judge and racing secretary; J. R. Bennett, associate and paddock judge; Browning H. Held, associate judge and clerk of the scales, and C. D. Stevens will do the starting. ■
