f BLUE BONNETS NOTES f $ MONTREAL, Que., June 18. W. W. Finn, who developed that good rider Pat Remillard, has taken over the contract on the Montreal lad L. Laurin. The latter was the leading jockey at Delorimier Park and was second in the wininng list of riders at Connaught Park. Finn plans to race his stable at Dorval. Several of the more important stables have signified their intention of making nominations to the Quebec Derby, to be run at the Dorval meeting a week from Saturday. Among the owners racing here who will ship to Salem, N. H., are J. Goff, L. M. Shea and Mat Colford. John P. Turner has closed with the management of the Mount Royal track to officiate as racing secretary and placing judge at its meeting. Turner leaves for Hamilton Saturday night. He will be racing secretary at that meeting and immediately following the conclusion of the racing at Hamilton will return to Montreal to take up his duties at Mount Royal. The latest additions to starter Cassidys schooling list are Snap, Francis Brown, Recess, Cyclamen, Kitty Cat and Miss Wid-worthy. The three-year-old Donny Johnny has recovered from his recent illness which kept him away from the races. The colt is again taking his gallops and was breezed at Blue Bonnets yesterday. W. J. Morrison received notice of his appointment as placing judge at Mount Royal. A party of well known Toronto sportsmen, made up of Edward and Norman Seagram, Ryland H. New and J. E. Taite, witnessed the races at Blue Bonnets this afternoon. At the conclusion of the meeting jockey R. Leishman returns to Aqueduct to join the Catawba Stable, to which he is under contract. R. Simpson goes from here to Kentucky. The following riders go from here to Hamilton: Frank Mann, T. Wilson, F. Dainty, A. Diliddo, R. Cooper, R. Town-row, C. Phillips, E. McLaughlin and W. Cleverley. The division of the Seagram Stable that is trained by E. J. Salt will remain in Montreal to race at Dorval and other tracks in this vicinity.
