TORONTO, Ont., June 18— Len Sweep, good daughter of Leonardo II. — Furious, which races for the local sportswoman, Mrs. N. McLeod, accounted for the fifth race, which attracted the best field of the afternoon at Dufferin Park. The recent winner, Meander, raced into second place, with Federal Reserve earning third. The Doctor was fourth with Knave of Clubs heading the only other starter, Bagpiper. Foden, alert at the post, soon sent Len Sweep Into the lead and opened up a good lead on her nearest rival midway on the first turn. It was Federal Reserve that was pressing the leader closest during the early stages, while Meander was well back. Foden continued to save ground with the winner and, displaying fine speed, had enough to hold sway to the end, though ridden in vigorous fashion to withstand Meanders challenge in the stretch. The Owen representative was taken to the outside for the final drive, made up ground, but fell short by a neck of reversing the verdict. Federal Reserve tired sliehtly. but easily saved third.
