SCENE SHIFTS TO HAMILTON * Brilliant Program Scheduled for First Day of Meeting. ♦ Every Stall at Picturesque Course of Hamilton Jockey Club Occupied — Race on Turf Course Daily. ♦ HAMILTON, Ont., June 24.— Major racing on the Canadian Racing Associations circuit shifts to the picturesque course of the Hamilton Jockey Club Wednesday. Prepared for this particular term of sport, the Hamilton Jockey Club has arranged for some of the finest entertainment of the season at its inter-city plant. Never in the history of the track has there been a better array of racing material from which to choose and in view of the response of horsemen in filling the inaugural program, some spectacular racing should be the result during the present meeting. Every stall for the convenience of the thoroughbreds has an occupant and the class among the large colony has no superior in Canada. Several racing establishments preferred to rest their charges up following the Thorncliffe and Ontario Jockey Club meetings and, acting as the advance guard, they were quickly augmented by shipments that arrived in large numbers from Bainbridge Park, Maryland and from western Canada. Every indication points to a banner meeting and all that is needed to assure the success of the meeting is weather conditions. Track superintendent R. Maloney has employed a large staff of helpers to attend to redecorating the huge plant and to care for the track proper. At present the entire enclosure of the Hamilton Jockey Club presents a vivid scene that should meet with the requirements of the racing public. In addition to being one of the finest mile tracks in the Dominion of Canada, the Hamilton Jockey Club is able to boast the only turf course on the North American continent and a daily event is scheduled over this course.
