ANNIE A. began quickly and moved into a good early lead, saved ground and, continuing gamely under punishment had enough left to withstand WISE SELLER. The latter, rushed along from the start, was on the outside and was wearing down the winner under punishment. BILL NORA forced a good early pace and held on well. PRINCESS STOLA could not get up. PIN WHEEL, away in the first flight, was kept under early pressure, responded to punishment when taken to the outside, closed resolutely and wore down KIRKLAND POST. The latter move i into a good lead leaving the back stretch and was shaken up in the final stages, but tired. SERGEANT MAJOR finished with a rush. MANOTACKS was held safe. BUSHMAN, close; up, went to the outside in the stretch and was getting to the winner. MARCHEUR, shuffled back going to the first turn, came throuch and closed fast. ANCHOR LIGHT, bothered early, was taken around the others and closed gamely. BALTHASAR quit in the last half. VERY HIGH tired. GILDED CASINO improved his position when settled on the back stretch and, taking the lead with a rush entering the stretch, outfinished FLAMINGO under urging. The latter met interference, went to the outside when straightened out in the stretch and closed fast. FESS finished with good speed after racing well for three-quarters. FERRY OF FATE challenged gamely on the far turn, but tired. MISS GAIETY II. was going fast at the end. HAYLOFT tired, as did SINGLE SEA. Scratched— 60607 Lord Cardigan, 109. The latter, going forward through- f u., finished stoutly. FRENCH LASS ret a fast pace, Lut faltered in the final sixteenth. RUBIO was on the outside for the entire trip. YANKEE DOODLE was outrun.
