KALANI was rated within striking distance of the leaders, moved up steadily in the stretch, but could not get up. RED GRANGE showed good early speed, but tired in the last eighth. ROSELYS began fast, opened up a winning lead, saved ground at every point, but was ridden out sharply in the closing strides. AIR PORT raced close up, closed gamely and was wearing down the winner. MANANNA, fractious at the post and prevented with difficulty from bolting, raced kindly when under way, moved up on the outside and closed fastest of all. PROBATE raced steadily, but tired at the end. JUG OF GOLD could not eet up. STYLISH MACK, moving into a contending position while racing on the outside in the early stages, was on the outside of ONE ALONE after being straightened away in the stretch, moved up with good courage to race the leader into defeat and finished going strong. VOWED VENGEANCE raced prominently from the start, saved ground entering the stretch and hung on gamely when challenged by the winner, but was not quite good enough. BROTHER JOHNSON raced forwardly all the way, but weakened in the final stages. ONE ALONE broke with good speed, but tired in the final eighth after being much used in the early runnin:.. ACHTOI LASS worked her way up on the outside, but swerved into the rail at the eighth pole when put to punishment and was blocked in an effort to eet through there.
