Start bad out of machine. Won easily ; second and third driving. COTTON TIME, lucky at the start and suited by the going, worked her way clear fast after a quarter and, maintaining good speed, won thereafter. STAR PARADE, close up from the start, saved ground and holding on well, outstayed LONELL. The latter closed gamely. LIGHT EAGLE, away poorly, lost much ground and showed a fine performance. LOHI came through on the inside on the stretch turn. JANE PACKARD tired. SALLIE SMITH was away poorly and had little chance. GAYEE began in a jam. PREMEDITATE, away poorly, was not persevered with. JOURNEYS END, racing in her best form and under restraint for three-eighths, readily wore down UFORME and, racing into decisive command, won easily. LAILA WILD improved her position on the inside on the turn and held on gamely thereafter. MINCE PIE, away poorly, worked his way up gradually and closed fast. UFORME, hustled along from the start, tired badly. ANNA BEALL raced wide. OJIBWAY showed early speed. ADA EPINARD sprawled badly at the start and could not get up. ALLENFERN began sluggishly, lost considerable ground and closed strong on the extreme outside. PRINCE VOLTA, under energetic riding from the start, worked his way up rounding the stretch turn and held on well, but could not withstand ALLENFERN. RUMMY tired. DURANGO had no mishaps. REVERBERATE kept well up under restraint the first half mile, went to SOUTH SEAS gradually at the stretch turn and, getting to the lead, could not draw away. SOUTH SEAS, fractious at the post but away well, had good spepd in pacemaking, saved ground after three sixteenths and held on stubbornly after being headed. SAN PRESTO began slowly, saved ground at the stretch turn and closed gamely. WEE DROP had speed under brisk urging from the start, saved ground throughout and tired badly. LIGHT MINT quit. AIRDRIE LASS began slowly, raced wide and failed to respond when hard urged. PLAYTIME, forced back entering the back stretch, was blocked approaching the far turn, but improved his position on the inside in the last quarter and wor* down LADY DEAN in the final stages. HERRICK began well, saved ground and would not get up. ZIDA lost ground, but held on well to outstay THISTLE LAD. The latter, badly jostled about in the run to the first turn, appeared to »ulk in the back stretch.
