Palmer and others agreed it was the proper action to take in view of track conditions. Agua Caliente sport has flourished lately. On Sunday one of the best crowds of the meeting was in attendance to see the Speed Handicap run. A week previously a new season record was set and figures show it to be the best day the course has enjoyed in its history, barring two Agua Caliente Handicap afternoons. Highways between San Diego and Agua Caliente were passible today, but water in the rivers was rising and it was feared it might cover the roads before nightfall, as there is a tremendous run-off sweeping down the canyons from the mountains. The card programmed for today will be discarded. New entries will be taken on Thursday for Fridays races, which will follow the condition book.
