HERBERT M. WOOLFS TRAINER Benjamin A. Jones to Direct Breeding and Racing Interests of Kansas City Sportsman. NEW ORLEANS, La., Feb. 2. Herbert M. Woolf, Kansas City sportsman and owner of a large stable and one of the most complete and picturesque thoroughbred breeding farms in Missouri, has engaged Benjamin A. Jones, owner of the Jones Stock Farm, at Parnell, Mo., and an active and successful horseman for many years, to direct his racing and breeding interests. Jones returned yesterday from Kansas City, where he spent several days with his new employer, and the agreement under which he is placed in complete charge of the Woolf thoroughbred holdings was entered into there. Jones leaves tonight for Hialeah Park, Miami, where he will take .over the training of the main division of the Woolf stable, formerly in charge of Dan E. Stewart. During the day he was busy disposing of as many of his horses as possible and reported the sale of Cloisters Dream and St. Jim to E. B. Carpenter and the transfer of Miss Hutche-son to J. Durkin. He is shipping Love Apple, Colonel Cloister, Cute Cloi and Regren to Miami. Other of the horses Jones has here will be transferred to the farm at Parnell, Mo. Under plans tentatively outlined, the Woolf and Jones breeding stock may be assembled at one of the two Missouri farms owned by them, and in addition to directing the racing of the big Woolf stable Jones will be in complete charge of the Woolf breeding stock. In both the breeding and racing fields, Jones has been very successful for many years, and acquisition of his services by the popular Kansas City sportsman should prove of great value. The horses Starmount, Little Love and Poor Relation, which Jones was training for E. B. Benjamin, local patron, were turned over to E. B. Carpenter. . i .
