PEMPSEY MEMORIAL CLOSING NEW ORLEANS, La., Feb. 12. Nominations for the ,000 added Jack L. Dempsey Memorial Handicap, for three-year-olds and over, and to be renewed at one mile at the Fair Grounds on February 20, are closing tomorrow. Racing secretary Joseph McLennan is confident that this feature will bring together one of the best fields of the meeting. An entry or subscription fee of 0 for each nomination prevails and starters must pay 5 additional to the winner. Weights will be announced next Wednesday.
