AGUA CALIENTE NOTES and Jockey E. J. Martin, the Australian rider; who has been exercising Phar Lap in most of his trials, made his first appearance in a regular contest on this continent when he rode Ragtime in the eighth race Wednesday Francis Dunne, Agua Caliente racing secretary, is in receipt of a wire from E. F Carruthers, general manager of Exposition" Park, Aurora, asking him to inform horsemen at Agua Caliente that the Aurora meeting will positively open May 2 and run for; the scheduled eighteen days. Horsemen are requested to apply for stable accommodations early. Mr. Dunne is also distributing the stake blanks for Washington Park.
