FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES Princess Camelia and Prince Hotspur, best of Joseph Leiters four eligibles for the Louisiana Derby, advanced another notch in their preparation for that closing day feature when they worked five-eighths in 1:03 in company over a fast track at the Fair Grounds this morning. After a long rest, trainer N. K. Beal is bringing the brilliant filly and colt into racing trim under a training that should have them at their best for the first important objective of their 1932 campaigns. Princess Camelia, a daughter of Royal Canopy and Sunmelia, accounted for two stakes under the Leiter silks last year, and Prince Hotspur, a son of Dunlin and Lady Emmeline, accounted for several races in his first campaign. Prince DAmour carried the Leiter colors into second place back of Spanish Play in the last Louisiana Derby at Jefferson Park last March. Liberty Limited, the Three Ds Stock Farms Kentucky Derby hopeful, which has been in training here for five weeks, breezed a half mile in :54 at the Fair Grounds this morning. Up to this time the son of Sir Gallahad III. has been limited to slow gallops. During the absence of William Irvine, who will spend a week at S. W. Labrots Holly-beach Farm in Maryland, Clay Stuppin will be in charge of the Labrot stable here. Earl Ogden contemplates shipping Black Fool, Bernice Van, Baby Leaves, Aviator and Volt Meter, owned by V. Michie, to Tan-foran about March 15.
