RUN OFF OF THE DEAD HEAT The first dead heat of the season and the second ever witnessed on the Agua Caliente course came about today when in the fifth race, a seven furlongs affair for rather cheap sprinters, Shasta Snow, from the Oaktree Stable, and Frank Rineharts Bad Boy finished on equal terms. Both came from behind to finish strongly. After a consultation between owners and officials, it was decided that the two horses should run off the dead heat and they were given about a half hour to rest up.
