BLUE BONNETS TO OPERATE Officials Elected and Plans for This Years Racing to Be Arranged in Near Future. MONTREAL, Que., Feb. 25. Many prominent sportsmen of the city today became associated with the Montreal Jockey Club, which operates the Blue Bonnets race track. While no definite plans were made at the annual meeting for racing this year, it was considered certain that Montreals premier track would operate, and details of the inaugural meeting will be considered at a meeting of the executive committee next week. Officers were elected as follows: President, Kenneth T. Dawes; secretary-treasurer, Louis Angevine; vice-presidents, Charles M. Hart, Richard V. Look, H. B. MacDougall. Committee: K. T. Dawes, Sir H. Montagu Allen, George W. Cook, Hon. Senator J. P. B. Casgrain, E. R. Decary, Lieut. Col. W. A. Grant, C. M. Hart, Dr. Austin D. Irvine, Hugh T. MacFarlane, Richard V. Look, H. B. MacDougall, Hon D. Raymond, Hugh Patton, George A. Ross, M. F. H. Paul, F. Sise. Executive committee: K. T. Dawes, E. R. Decary, Lieut. Col. Grant, C. M. Hart, H. B. MacDougall, Hon. D. Raymond, George W. Cook. It is understood that the losses on operation last year were only about ,000, and the management plans to curtail the budget this year to meet conditions, though without detracting from the quality of racing usually associated with the track.
