MANASSAS, hard urged, could not get up. DISCOBOLUS tired after three-quarters. LINE OF FIRE, hard ridden, lacked speed and seemed handicapped bv the gointr. The latter, prominent throughout, held on gamely. ST. CHRISTOPHER, in close quarters in the final eighth, tired in the final drive. WANDEROO, closest to the early pace, tired under pressure. LIGHT ACTION finished fast. SERGEANT HILL raced evenly. DOME propped at the start and was knocked off stride going out of the chute. BRIGHT MONK began from outside the machine. ANGRY PLMUE, away poorly, closed a good gap, but tired from her early efforts. CRUSHED STONE, on the inside and close up early, was crowded back and was never prominent thereafter.
