BARN DANCE, hard urged, gained steadily on the turn, but was unable to overhaul the winner. CRYSTAL DOMINO began tardily, improved his position and easily disposed of the others in the last eighth. PRINCETON, closest to the early leader, drew clear with a rush entering the stretch, then tired in the closing sixteenth and was unable to withstand the winner. ORKIN, racing forwardly under pressure, outlasted TIGER PRINCE. The latter, away slowly, closed a big gap and was going fastest of all at the end. MORTIME quit to a walk on the stretch turn.
