PHAR LAP MYSTERY HORSE AGUA CALIENTE, Mexico, March 8. Continuing their unorthodox training of Phar Lap, those in charge of the Australian horse havefnot allowed him to have a good workout during the week. He is generally jogged one mile and galloped two miles in the morning, while this morning he was walked for some distance. Trainer Woodcock states that this is the method used in Australia to bring the horse up to his race and that he runs well with but little training. To American observers the big gelding remains more or less of a mystery. .
