WORKOUTS AT LOUISVILLE LOUISVILL.E, Ky., Mar. 19. Derby horses at both tracks were given gallops, canters and workouts at short distances this morning, although both tracks were far from at their best. Douglas Park was better than the older track, and trainer Alex Gordon sent the Fair Stables Sweeping Light a half mile in what some of the watch workers timed in :52. This colt is in excellent bodily condition, and taking to his work like a veteran. W. F. Knebelkamps Delivered was the only Derby candidate at the Downs to show anything worth while, his five furlongs in the fractional time of :25, :53, 1:06 being accomplished in handy fashion under clever handling by jockey Carl Shea.
