AMERICAN DERBY LIST One Hundred and Twenty-Nine Nominations for Famous Race. Top Flight, Tick On, Burning Blaze, Oscillator and Other Stars Among the Entries More than a month, after the running of the next Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, and when the process of clarifying the situation regarding the three-year-olds will be well under way, the twenty-fourth running of the American Derby will take place at Washington Park, and the list of 129 nominations for this 0,000 added stake of June 18, made public today, contains the names of practically all the prominent candidates for the Kentucky classic as well as a few others that have come into some little prominence in winter racing. The prediction of Col. M. J. Winn that the American Derby would attract just as imposing a field of three-year-olds as the Kentucky event, with the continued success of which he is so closely identified, is borne out by todays announcement. The names of Top Flight, Tick On, Burning Blaze, three of the advance favorites for the Kentucky Derby, are included, and others of prominence named are Burgoo King, On Post, Osculator, Morfair, Hygro, Laughing Queen, Universe, Air Pilot, Mad Pursuit, Mad Frump, Polonaise, Faireno, Sweeping Light, Liberty Limited and Curacao. Winter winners and those which have performed notably in Winter Derbys and stakes, named for the American, are Evening, Bahamas, Bertjohn, Cathop, Crystal Prince, Hoops, Sazerac, Prince Hotspur and Princess Camelia. Mrs. Payne Whitneys Greentree Stable has the largest single list of any stable to be represented. The six Greentrees are Byzantine, Curacao, Parry, Pro Bono, Semaphore and Espinaca. Three eligibles are owned by the Belair Stud Stable and three each were named by the Three Ds Stock Farm Stable and Mrs. John Hay Whitney. Still other prominent nominators are Mrs. Graham Fair Vanderbilt, Admiral Cary T. Grayson, Willis Sharp e Kilmer, A. B. Hancock, George D. Widener, Nevada Stock Farm, Shandon Farm, J. W. Parrish, Howe Stable, Hal Price Headley, Norman W. Church, R. M. Eastman, Charles T. Fisher, Audley Farm, A. C. Bostwick, T. M. Cassidy, Joseph Leiter, Mrs. E. Denemark, John J. Coughlin, Walter M. Jeffords, Loma Stable, S. W. Labrot, Otto W. Lehman, Raoul Walsh, Victor Emanuel, Herbert M. Woolf, Otto W. Lehmann and Mrs. L. Viau. Thus, nearly every prominent stable which nominates for western stakes is represented and in practically every instance these owners have named the best that they have of Derby age. The winter stars named in the foregoing list include the winners of the winter Derbys run up to the time nominations closed. Evening, a filly, was the impressive winner of the Florida Derby, Bahamas won the Agua Caliente Derby, and Monks First won the Cuban Derby.
