I TORONTO TURF NOTES $ « Jockeys Cc: Ion Arnold and Charlie Phillips are the latest additions to the rider brigade. Phillips will be remembered as the pilot of Sun Beau in the majority of his races last season. Edward and Tom Seagram came down from Waterloo to witness the work of the Kings Plate candidates Shady Well and King OConnor. The pair worked the full plate route in 1:59. The German rider Steve Vargo lost little time in going to work, having affiliated himself with the Thorncliffe Stable. J. Healy, Sr., father of J. W. Healy, trainer of the Mrs. J. H. Whitney stable, was expected to arrive at Woodbine Tuesday afternoon. The ten jumpers and two flat performers which he is handling for Mrs. Ambrose Clark are already in quarters at Woodbine.
