HAS FAITH IN RED WHISK LEXINGTON, Ky., May 17.— C. C. Van Meter spent Sunday and this morning at his home here, returning to Louisville this afternoon. He said he will ship his string to Washington Park Thursday. Red Whisk, he said, came out of his race at Churchill Downs Saturday in good shape. "I think that race proves that he is about the best colt in Kentucky," said Mr. Van Meter. "A slow breaker in an outside position, he was at the disadvantage of having to run on the extreme outside all the way. He made up a tremendous amount of ground through the stretch, and at the finish was only half a length behind the winner, a fast breaker with the advantage of the rail in the bargain. Watch Red Whisk at Chicago and afterwards."
