PRECIOUS DOLLAR, badly outrun for three-eighths, went to the outside in the stretch and, closing with belated speed, was up to win in the final twenty yards. CHATWATER, displaced the early pacemakert on the turn, saved ground, but tired fast after moving into a clear lead. SEEMEGO, taken up following the break, dropped far out of it, then finished resolutely. SLAPSTICK, an early factor, tired in the stretch. LONESOME GLORY raced well. FARMINGTON was outrun. BLUE BANNER, allowed to gallop along for a turn of the field, gained resolutely when put to a drive, challeneins MY CARE eoing to the fifteenth fence and, continuing gamely, wore down the latter on the flat after the last jump. MY CARE disposed of OLAN C. at the eleventh obstacle, but could not withstand the winner after leading to the last jump. BALMORAL TATTOO did not threaten the first two in the final drive. ROCKDALE almost unseated his rider at the eleventh fence, recovered, yet was held safe. VESTIP had no excuses. GREEK BANDIT ran out going to the fifth fence, was taken back into the course, but was never a factor. JACK WHITTIER was pulled up going to the sixteenth fence. OLAN C. was pulled up going to the fourteenth and DRAGON DE VERTU lost his rider at the fifth jump. The latter, outrun for half a mile, finished with a rush. LOGWOOD forced a steady pace for five-eighths, but tired steadily. POPPIN CRACKER improved his position and closed gamely. SABANA raced well placed and had no excuses. MARIE GAIETY was unable to threaten the leaders. The others were outrun. The latter worked his way up on the outside, reached the winner in the closing eighth, then tired badly. LINDSAY raced in the deeper footing next to the rail from the start and tired. OIL RITE had no mishaps. MANOTACKS tired. TOUT FEU raced very wide all the way. CHIVALROUS was in- close quarters on the first turn and lost his rider when ho slipped.
