.......■■■■ --■■■■■-■ i FAMOUS STABLE TO PASS i j IN SALE AT BELMONT j NEW YORK, N. Y., May 27.— Mrs. Graham Fair Vanderbilt, who has raced under the name of the Fair Stable for several seasons, has ordered the dispersal of her racing stable and it will mean the passing of a tremendously popular racing establishment. It was the famous gelding Sarazen, one of the greatest American thoroughbreds, that brought the greatest measure of fame to the silks, though many another horse of quality made glorious history under the banner of this fair patroness of the American turf. All of the horses in training will go under the hammer in Belmont Park paddock before the races Saturday, June 4. In the consignment are Sweeping Light, Sarazen II., Makalu, Absinthe, Black Powder, Desert Prince, Energetic Boy, Monkey, Burning Beauty and Dubois. Four of the lot are two-year-olds and the best of f the others is Sweeping Light, a brilliant t three-year-old prospect that has been kept t away from the races by reason of a badly bruised heel. This auction is to be conducted by the i Fasig-Tipton Company and in the same auction - there will be various other offerings, ;, but this lot is the most important by reason l of the dispersal of such a racing establishment. -
