KEENE AND HEADLEY SALE Important Dispersal of Horses in u Training Is Scheduled for , Friday, June 17. One of the most important, if not the most Important, sales of horses in training to be held in the Middle West this season is that of J. O. Keene and H. P. Headley in the paddock at Washington Park, Homewood, 111., under the direction of E. J. Tranter, president of the Fasig-Tipton Company, at 11:30 a. m. Friday, June 17. Mr. Keene is disposing of twenty-one head. .This constitutes his entire racing stable. The horses to be sold for his account are the four-year-olds Pangloss and Santon, the three-year-olds Absurdity, Distant Drum, Don Romiro, Pancho Lopez, Riceiardo and Rosa de Cuba, and the two-year-olds Blue Emperor, Darkest Hour, Don Carlos, Don Romiro, Judgment, Miss Muffet, Night Jasmine, Salut dAmour, Sandaltree, Sandro, Santa Roma, Syrinx, Tangalo and Vespucci. Mr. Headley is selling a draft of eleven horses from his string, bred at and recruited from Beaumont Farm. Pigeon Hole, now seven, is the oldest. Niato, now five, is next j and the others are the three-year-olds Chu Chu, Kneehigh, Predict, Prefer, Rummy and the two-year-olds Fair Image, Flying Pilgrim, Go Fetch and Three Bees. In addition to these Joseph G. Chinn of Lexington has added Wilks, two-year-old gelding, by Terry Geneva Belle, by Tenny. .This makes a total of thirty-three head. These horses are all in racing shape and will be ready for their new owners to go right along with. They are by such sires as Apprehension, Blondin, Chance Play, Chantey, Hollister, Infinite, Justice F., Last Reveille, Master Charlie, Pagan Pan, Phara-mond II., Pot au Feu, Sand Mole, Sir Barton, Supremus and Terry. The dams are daughters of Ampelion, Ballot, Brown Prince II., Buchan, Charles Edward, Coriander, George Smith, Hollister, Hourless, Jack Atkin, Kwang-Su, Light Brigade, Luke McLuke, McKinley, Oddfellow, Orimar, Pagan Pan, Polymelian, Que-rido, Sand Mole, Star Ruby, Sun Briar, Sweeper, Tenny, Troutbeck, Uncle and Wrack.
