J. Greely, Jr.; bred by J. E. Madden, estate. Winner entered to be claimed for ,000. WENT TO POST— 5:19. AT POST— 4 minutes. Start good for all but Chene out of machine. Won driving; second and third the same. SERGEANT HILL followed the pacemaker under light restraint, responded to mild punishment and, wearing down VOLTINA, just lasted. BOB DOZER, close up from the start, dropped back as if through entering the stretch, but came again. VOLTINA, fractious at the post but away fast, was well rated and bore out, taking the winner with her when tiring. BALDERDASH began slowly. CHENE, fractious at the post and away in a tangle, did not threaten. DIXIE LAD could not get up. OLIVE A. quit. Scratched— 31041 Jodie K., 108. Overweight — Chene, 1 pound; Olive A., lj.
