Won driving; second and third the same. WIND SONG bore over sharply soon after reaching the turn, saved ground in the final three-eighths and, holding on well, outlasted GAY FOLLIES. The later also swerved over abruptly from the outside at the end of the first quarter, maintained her speed gamely and was wearing down the winner. PARA FOUR, probably best and sharply crowded back on the turn, closed fast on the inside. PEGGY GAL missed the crowding and showed a, good performance. FAIRSIDE also escaped the interference. MINNEQUA met mild interference and labored in the going. HAMBORA had no mishaps and quit badly. HERO OLGA was always far back. CARVEL HALL began fast and was knocked to his knees in the early crowding. BEECH TREP almost fell when forced into the fence soon after leaving the back stretch. MERRY CHATTER moved up fast soon after the spill and tired in the final eighth, but outlasted GALLOP ALONG. The later raced wide most of the way. LAWYER was urged from the start and tired badly in the stretch. DUNES was in close quarters near the turn and failed to rally when clear. PRINTEMPS was in contention when she fell and DON TASKER fell over her. UPRIGHT began fast, but soon dropped out of it and broke down badly after a quarter. Scratched 84261 Texas Knight, 118. GREYGLADE, a factor from the start, weakened in the final drive, but outstayed ESSIE WESSIE. The latter held on fairly well. TECHNOCRACY, away fast, but unable to keep up, failed to respond to light pressure. FULL TILT began slowly and lost much ground. AMERICAN RED quit badly and cantered back sore, but walked out of it. The latter, a strong factor from the start, could not get to the winner when under vigorous urging in the final eighth, but held on gamely. BIG BRAND closed with a rush. INDIAN RUNNER, taken back repeatedly and brought to the outside approaching the stretch, could not improve his speed in the final drive, but held on well. POLYDORUS faltered in the final drive.
