DEATH TAKES FRITZ WEINER DETROIT Mich June 14 Fred Fritz Weiner former jockey and successful train ¬ er died at the Walter Jennings Hospital last night Weiner has been in ill health for some time and last week was forced to undergo a blood transfusion He rallied and was reported to have been on his way to recov ¬ ery when he suffered another setback Weiner first rode for James Bolton Since retiring from the saddle he has been assist ¬ ant trainer Phildia which carries his wifes colors is considered one of the leading west ¬ ern juveniles Last fall Weiner took over the C and C L King horses to train and had sportsmenThe four here for the Memphis sportsmen The funeral services were held for him this morning and the body was shipped to Saratoga Springs for interment He is sur ¬ vived by his wife the former Miss Margaret Walker of Saratoga Springs Weiner will be buried in a plot of ground adjacent to the lot where Samuel Hildreth is buried
