PLANE MISHAP PERILS 7 BUFFALO N Y May 10 A giant New arktoChicago passenger plane of the Amer ¬ ican Airlines struck a small pile of dirt while landing at the Buffalo airport Thurs ¬ day but all seven occupants of the plane escaped injury The dirt had been left on the runway by men who were engaged in grading the field and wasnt noticed by the pilot As the plane skidded in the mud the right wheel of the ship was knocked loose
