MARCH ON CAPITAL SPRINGFIELD 111 May 10 Members of the Illinois Workers Alliance which are as ¬ sembled in the state capital in protest over the closing of the relief stations began congregating near the state house on Thurs ¬ day Nearly 200 men were seen near the old arsenal across from the state house and reports stated that truckloads of reinforce ¬ ment were to follow Edward C Morgan state president of the Alliance and Jerry Allard were in charge of the marchers Leaders stated that the men would camp in the state capital until the relief stations were reopened
