IMAGALE, under steadying restraint while forcing the pace for five-eighths, disposed of GOLIDIAN in the stretch, but was unable to hold the winner. GOLIDIAN sprinted into command at once, was rated along in the lead, but tired in the final eighth. TOP SHOT raced evenly. WHY NOT made a determined bid entering the stretchj then tired. INVESTOR, sluggish at the start, was hustled into the lead and rated along, then continued to draw out all through the stretch. PENURIOUS, quickest to begin, forced the pace and held on gamely to outlast PARADISE MAID. The latter, outrun in the early part, saved ground entering the stretch and closed with a rush on the inside. LANADLER, well placed throughout, had no excuse.
