EDGAR ROY, on the inside throughout and well rated, held on with good courage, but was no match for the winner. WILD TRANSIT finished resolutely in an even effort. HYKLAS weakened in the stretch. WHOA BACK saved ground on the turn, but raced wide soon after reaching, the final. quarter and, closing .well when straightened, wore down BROWN POLLY. The latter had speed and held on fairly well. JIMMY N., under strong riding in the final three-eighths, came through on the inside in the stretch. PRINCESS BLACK weakened in the drive. MODERN LASH also faltered in the stretch. The latter, slow to get going and on the inside the first half mile, came out in the stretch and, closing with a rush, just missed getting up. SERVANT PRIDE forced the early pace under light pressure and weakened after getting o the front in the stretch. PREFERRED finished fast in the middle of the track. LOYAL LOUIE -went jvell.
