1 Tatonia turf notes i Jockey Dublin Taylor will resume riding Friday, having fully recovered from his fall from Sada a few days ago. Racing secretary William H. Shelley received a telegram from Charles McLennan, notifying the owners that the stakes for Arlington Park will close Saturday, June 1. Former jockey Charlie Hainesworth made sii trip to Columbus, Ohio, Wednesday to obtain the services of jockey Johnny Long to ride Blackbirder in the Latonia Derby. Long arrived here Thursday morning, but did not accept any mounts for the day. Jockey Glen Fowler reported sick and was allowed to cancel his mounts for Thursday. It is expected he will resume riding Friday. Riding licenses were granted jockey J. Long and apprentice Harold Beasy. The lat- ter had his first mount of the meeting Thursday, when he drew the assignment on Grand Finale in the second race. Jockey Herbert Chinn was "another that donned colors for the first time at the meeting, when he rode the Spring Valleys King Bonny.
