The latter, a forward factor from the beginning, made a determined bid in the stretch, but hung in the final drive. BUDDING STAR raced well up from the start and had no mishaps. SWEET AS SUGAR dropped back after the start, but finished well. HARLEM BELLE finished fast on the outside. FLAMING SWORDS had no mishaps. MILK had no mishaps. CLASP began slowly. ABOUT 2 MILES. CANIENTO showed speed under steadying restraint, made a bad landing at the fifth fence, recovered quickly and finished well. CREE bobbled at several of his fences and could not make up ground. WHITE COCKADE was bottled up between the leaders entering the final quarter and could not get through when placed under severe pressure. COLDSTREAM was knocked back after the start, was forced , to take up, then steered to the outside, but finished well. BRIGHT PLUMAGE was gaining on his opposition at the end. The latter was outrun the first part, improved his position steadily on the inside, saved much ground entering, the stretch and finished well. ONLY ONE, in near pursuit of the pace from the start, held on well. IDENTIFY was well up in the early running, was steered wide at the far and stretch turns and then faltered. SINGING WOOD, well up all the way, had no mishaps. KING SAXON was rated along under steady restraint, but quit in the stretch.
