T. K. LYNCH IS DEAD Veteran Correspondent of Daily Racing Form Passes Away in Baltimore Hospital ! i BALTIMORE, Md., May 30. The turf world was cast in gloom today due to the death at 9:10 oclock this morning of Thomas Kirby Lynch at the Mercy Hospital. Lynch, who was born 66 years ago at Cedarhurst, L. I., has been ailing since last November. He stuck to his position as general manager of the Bowie track, but when, he went to Florida to act as correspondent for Daily Racing Form, which organization he has represented for over a quarter of a century, he was forced to undergo an operation on his left eye. He failed to rally from various complications, but when he returned to Maryland this spring he insisted on carrying out his duties as general manager of the plant in Prince Georges County. Several weeks ago his condition became worse, and he was moved from his home in the Madison Apartments in this city to the Mercy Hospital, where he died this morning. Lynch formerly raced a string of his own at Charleston, Jacksonville and Guttenburg, later becoming a newspaperman. He joined Daily Racing Form staff In its infancy with Frank J. Brunnell, and at the time of his death was preparing to leave for Canada to cover the summer sessions in the Dominion as a chart maker. The deceased was. also general manager of the Marlboro, Md., track. He is survived by his widow and a five-year-old. adopted daughter, and one brother a resident of Long Island.
