f JAMAICA TURF NOTES $ s Jockey Glen Smith arrived and reported to John J. OByrne, his contract employer, and accepted mounts Monday afternoon. The Brookmeade Stables Delphinium, second in the Chesapeake, returned from Havre de Grace and will start in the Wood Memorial. Walter Carter was an arrival from California and will remain for the season. Mower, winner of his first two races here, is an eligible for the Preakness -Stakes at Baltimore. Marshall Fields Tintagel is looked upon as a certain starter in the Wood Memorial on Saturday. The- best work of Monday morning at Belmont Park was that turned in by M. L. Schwartz Bold Venture, an eligible for the Wood Memorial. This fellow, with his weight up, stepped a mile and a quarter, hard held, in 2:08. The early fractional time was :24, :48, 1:14, 1:27, 1:40 and 1:54. Memory Book, which may parade postward in the Preakness, stepped a mile in 1:42. W. T. Anderson made his reappearance after a brief illness.
