MAKING TIME began swiftly, moved clear when reaching the stretch, rallied to punishment nearing -the end and outstayed VIVOLA. The latter had good speed to maintain a forward position, was hard ridden all the way and finished resolutely. SLUMP improved its position on the outside and closed vith good energy under punishment. GAYETTE held a forward position from the beginning, saved ground and had no excuses. SILVER PALM could not threaten when the real test came. JEANNE FETZKO was forced wide all the way. QUEEN BLAZE was badly blocked leaving the back stretch and had to be taken up. SCOUT PLANE and GOLDCRAFT raced greenly, as did ROCKY MARGOT. Overweight Tuleyries Ruby, lg pounds. SYLVIA G. improved her position steadily in the last half mile when taken to the outside, responded willingly to a hard drive nearing the end and was up in the last few strides. CARELESS KNIGHT raced ARGOAN into submission in the first five-eighths moved clear entering the stretch but faltered when reaching the finish. ROCKRIM, prominent all the way, moved up strongly midway of the stretch, was caught in tight quarters and had to be eased in the last sixteenth, only for which he may have been closer. JUSTA GLIDER closed a good gap after being away slowly. STACK ARMS was held safe. ARGOAN, racing well, was used up racing with CARELESS KNIGHT. MISS TWINKLE showed a flash of early speed. LIGHT was rushed hard, took command when leaving the back stretch, but failed to rally when the real test came. SINGING HEART saved ground all the way, but could not threaten the first two. HIATUS raced clear all the way, but could not engage the leaders. MOVIE LASS was unable to enter contention. FAKE tired steadily after a half mile. BERNARDINE W. was never a dangerous factor. SUNNED, well up from the start, wore down SHEPHERD BOY to assume a short lead in the stretch, held on gamely, but was no match for the winner. KINDACORN, close to the leaders throughout, made a bid to take command in the stretch, but was not good enough and weakened. LIGHT BROOK gradually improved its position and closed well. TIEMPO had early speed, met with slight interference on the back stretch and weakened. SHEPHERD BOY raced well placed early, took command after a mile, but tired badly.
