AURORA TURF NOTES f ! The painted stable pony that escaped from j the stable of Mrs. A. M. Creech several days ago, was located several miles from the track by members of the Aurora fire department and returned to his owner Friday morning, according to G. F. Mitchell, agent for the Creech stable. The first nominations for the 2,000 Illinois Derby, to be decided at the Aurora course on May 22, were received by racing secretary R. A. Leigh from the Milky Way ! Farms Stable and included Sangreal, The Fighter and Doran, which are to be shipped j here following their Kentucky campaign. j Bruce Johnson, trainer for the stable of j Mrs. L. Starks and developer of the promis-I ing apprentice Frankie Chojnacki, was an , arrival from Arlington, Texas, Friday morning. Chojnacki also checked in and reported to the jockey quarters. R. E. Dealey registered the following horses he is training for the Blue Bonnet Stable: Gay World, Shalot, Wilderness Way, Trevallion and Surety.
