GOVERNOR PRESENTS CUP t $ LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 2.— The Derby horses were jogged back to the judges stand after the running with the rider of the winner taking his time as per the usual custom. An attendant led the winner into the small grass plot near the presentation stand, which was crowded with dignitaries. Albert Benjamin Chandler, governor of Kentucky, made the talk, presented the cup, and his picture was taken with the owner, trainer and rider of the winner by a full half hundred photographers. Also in the stand were Polk Laffoon, chairman of the Kentucky State Racing Commission; Col. Matt Winn, executive director of Churchill Downs, James A. Farley, postmaster-general of the United States; Samuel A. Samuelson, president of Churchill Downs; United States Treasurer W. Alexander Julian, and others.
