t AURORA TURF NOTES 4 . 4 Apprentice Frank Chojnacki, who cancelled his mounts after the first race Friday because of a shaking up he received ■when he fell off after pulling up, has recovered and returned to the saddle Saturday afternoon. The nominations of Banister and Bow and Arrow for the Illinois Derby, scheduled to be decided at Aurora on May 22, were received from Col. E. R. Bradley by racing secretary Leigh, Saturday morning. The closing date for making entries for the Illinois Derby is May 15. Two of the most impressive looking juveniles quartered at the Aurora course are those which Mickey Harrison is handling for W. C. Stroube. They are Sun Pilot, a bay son of Sun Beau— Friary, and Patrolite, a chestnut daughter of Bubbling Over— Patroness. A. Gardner, trainer for the A. C. Nelson stable, arrived here and registered Little Cynic, No Doubt, Kuvera and Eskimo. W. Ziegler was another to register his thoroughbreds, including Ep and Baku. J. A. Murphy, a recent arrival from Texas, announced that he has completed arrangements to take up the four-year-old Dunley, which has been turned out on a farm near Chicago since last October. James Brandon checked in from Texas and plans to remain throughout the Aurora meeting, then will leave for Omaha for the Ak-Sar-Ben meeting scheduled for thirty-three days.
