■ J | j I JAMAICA TURF NOTES ! $ S George Odom left for Narragansett Park Thursday, but will return for the Belmont Park meeting. Alfred G. Vanderbilt was here to witness his pair start in the Jamaica Handicap. Red Rain worked a mile and a half at Belmont Park Friday morning, a trial for his Belmont engagement, in 2:39%. He was under stout restraint all the way after cov-j ering the first mile in 1-AQY5, and the mile and a quarter in 2:12%. Mrs. Anna Myers, sister of the late Victor Schaumburg, died at her home in Brooklyn after a brief illness. Furenal service announcements will be made later. Jockeys L. Pichon and G. Seabo were fined 5 each by the starter for disobe-1 dience at the post Thursday. George Conway, who has twenty-one horses owned by Glen Riddle Farm Stable at Belmont Park, made his first appearance of the season.
