Vanderbilt was here to witness his pair start in the Jamaica Handicap. Red Rain worked a mile and a half at Belmont Park Friday morning, a trial for his Belmont engagement, in 2:39%. He was under stout restraint all the way after cov-j ering the first mile in 1-AQY5, and the mile and a quarter in 2:12%. Mrs. Anna Myers, sister of the late Victor Schaumburg, died at her home in Brooklyn after a brief illness. Furenal service announcements will be made later. Jockeys L. Pichon and G. Seabo were fined 5 each by the starter for disobe-1 dience at the post Thursday. George Conway, who has twenty-one horses owned by Glen Riddle Farm Stable at Belmont Park, made his first appearance of the season.
