POSTMAN HOME I was taken under stout restraint the first turn of the field and finished over tired horses. EARLY AUTUMN showed speed from the start and raced truly on the inside, responded to pressure in the final eighth and outlasted her opposition in the final drive. MAECLOUD improved her position when placed under severe pressure, made a determined bid in the final cigbth, but bore over slowly at the finish and impeded BROAD RIPPLE. The latter, in nearest pursuit of the early pace, came between the leaders for the final drive and was caught in close quarters. STARAWAY broke well, but was outrun and finished with a rush on the inside. WARRIOR QUEEN was in early trouble. TAP ON broke from outside the stalls and raced truly on the outside.
