I NARRAGANSETT PARK NOTES I e Mrs. S. B. Mason has sold the three-year-old filly Pretty Russell to John Daniels at private terms. The filly is by Victorian Phoebe Snow. Eugene Hill, who has been training a string of horses here for his brother, B. J. Hill, gave up the post Thursday to return to his home in Wichita, Kansas. B. J. Hill has taken over the training duties. Mrs. C. Tumin has sold the four-year-old gelding St. Moritz, at private terms, to Moe Cohen. The son of St. James was beaten by a half length by Dean Swift in the first race at Narragansett Park on Wednesday. Edward J. Fenelon, Jr., chief of the state division of horse racing, has notified all horsemen that they must obtain clearance papers from the office of racing secretary Pat Horgan before shipping from Narragansett Park. Two horses, Motion Picture and Polo Bar, were on the stewards list at Narragansett Park Thursday, while four others, Thatcha, Bender First, Skip It, and Suncrax have been placed on starter Harry Morrisseys schooling list. Mrs. A. M. Creech, who lost her good campaigner Open Range by the claiming route after his victory in the second race Wednesday, disposed of the stables jockey Thursday morning, when the contract of I A. Jolley was taken over by Ed Haughton.
