YARBROUGH, quickest to begin, drew clear in the opening stages and, steadied along in front,-was never threatened, though ridden out smartly to the end. YETIVE followed in closest pursuit of the winner from the start and held on with good energy in the final drive. JEANNE FETZKO was forwardly placed throughout and was going stoutly at the end. ROBINS COVE, hard hustled from the start to enter into contention, was unable to make up any ground through the last five-sbcteenths. DUSKY MISS made the far turn and had to take LOVELY DAY, up some ground. JAMESVILLE was cut off sharply nearing up. was knocked back soon after the start and had scant chance thereafter. IDENTICAL closed a good gap through the last three-sixteenthSi ARTFUL PRINCE had good speed and was not unduly punished when he began tiring. BE JUST, quickest to begin, was" rated along in front under steadying restraint, tired inside the closing strides, but lasted to gain a dead heat with CHARMED EYES. The latter, steadied along back of the pace, closed with good energy through the stretch, and drew on even terms at the line. TRAMWAY responded gamely to hard urging and closed stoutly. BANK HOLIDAY finished with good energy. IRISH HERO was going gamely at the close. LOLOMA, well placed early, dropped back after going three-eighths. UPPERCUT, shuffled back at the start and unable to gain clear sailing early, was never prominent, though closing ground when too late through the stretch. JIM JOHN was outrun. MANYA, on the outside while forcing the pace, responded gamely in the last few strides to take the place from SIR KAI. The latter dropped back soon after the start and had to be vigorously ridden in order to reach contention, then moved up threateningly in the stretch, but, tiring from his early efforts, faltered right at the end. SCOTCH PEPPER, prominently placed all the way, continued with good energy to the close. QUEEN HELEN forced the early pace and held on gamely to the end. LUCK IN was restrained while racing well up and was unable to reach the leaders i when placed under punishment. BOCASETTE, away slowly, made up ground. COLD SPILL, impeded by QUEEN HELEN when the latter bore in at the start, was unablcr to gain racing room down the back stretch and was going stoutly at the end when too late. RED ROAMER raced to the front straightening into the back stretch, was in close quarters when the two leaders bore in through the stretch and forced his rider to take up. FAIRY-STREET was unable to reach the leaders. UKRAINE, well placed, was unable to improve her position in the last five-sixteenths. GOLDEN WORDS quit badly after displaying early speed.
