FORGET NOT had the speed of the field, sprinted into an early lead and drew away under a drive at the finish. LITTLE HONEY, prominent throughout, could not overhaul the winner. PEGGY MINE, shuffled back soon after the start, suffered some interference and had trouble finding racing room until rounding the far turn, where she raced to the outside and finished going strongly. FANCY CLOTHES also suffered some interference .soon after the start, causing her to lose much ground, but made up considerable ground in the stretch run. SUNNY SUSAN had speed to the stretch head, only to tire. THOTH, very unruly at the start, ran a poor race. MAGIC GIFT can do much better. Scratched 26794 Miss Meritic. 104; 27067 Eatemup, 104. LADY DAY, showing the most speed from the start, soon took command, was steadied along in front, but had to be shaken un in the run home. CHALPHONE, always close to the pace, could not improve at the end. PRAIRIE PRINCE, shuffled back in the early running, closed fast on the outside. SHEBANG had no excuses, running an even race. Won easily; second and third driving. OUR CREST, showing considerable improvement, forced the pace to the stretch turn, then moved to the front and drew away to an easy win. CLASP showed keen early speed, but was no match for the winner when the real test came. BETTY SHAW, very unruly at the start and delaying it some time, was crowded back soon after the start and had to work her way up on the outside, then closed very strongly. GOLDEN WATCH ran an even race after finding its stride. HASTY HANNA showed a good effort for five-eighths. RHYTHMICAL closed fast through the stretch after having trailed his field. BLAKEEN, reserved back of the pace until reaching- the stretch turn, forged to the front and had to be hard ridden to the end. GOLDEN KEY, showing excellent speed from the start, soon went into a good lead but could not hold the lead when the winner made its challenge, but was best of the others. STICKEMUP, in close quarters much of the way, closed strongly when plear, making up much ground in the last three-sixteenths. LADY HOCKBERGER ran an even race, making several challenges, but could not improve, tiring slightly at the end. TOP SHELL closed going well. CANCEL steadily lost ground, LADY PAL quit near the end. LADOGAN followed the pace closely, raced into the lead after rounding the stretch turn, but barely lasted as PROSECUTOR came again under strong handling. The latter, running in his best form, raced to the front at once, only to lose command at the stretch turn, but came again and just missed. SIR KAI was third throughout, but could not improve after repeated attempts, although much the best of the others. CURLING made up some ground in the final eighth. BALMACAN lost ground all the way. Won driving; second and third the same. - WEE WINK, under slight restraint the first half mile, came fast on the outside around the far turn, overhauled SUN APOLLO an eighth out, but had to be hard ridden to hold a slight advantage to the end. SUN APOLLO moved up into a contending position rounding the first turn, raced into the lead after being straightened out in the back stretch, but was displaced at the stretch turn, although hanging on gamely. KINDACORN appeared slightly sore going to the post, lacked early speed, but moved up considerably in the final run. COHORT MISS also lacked early speed, then closed well. DOWDY DELL ran an even race. BRIGHT BIRD had the most speed from the start, ran a good, game race, but succumbed to the winners challenge in the last stride. ZEMBLA, a trailer for a half mile, finished fastest. REPEAL, in a contending position throughout, tired slightly in the final running. OUR SHIP tired at the end. BARCARDI SWEEP could not better its position at any time. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-16 MDLES. I MISS ALPHONSO trailed the field until Teaching the far turn, where she moved up fast on the outside, caught the leaders after entering the stretch and drew out at the end. JUST REMEMBER, well back early, raced up on the outside while rounding the turn and finished with good courage, but could not hold the winner off. MISCHIEFMAKER raced in spots. SIX BELLS, crowded back at the break, mads- up some ground in the last quarter. SUNLINE and BY SURPRISE quit after going three-quarters. Scratched 26682 Burning Billows, 106.
